CrossFit Streets offers targeted hockey training for those who count the seconds between shifts.
Run by head hockey coach and owner of CrossFit Streets, Dan Rogers, our hockey training pushes athletes to improve speed, power, agility, strength, flexibility, stamina, accuracy, balance, endurance and coordination, through the following exercises:
- Different types of footwork/bounding
- Strength training
- Olympic weightlifting
- Rotational work
The training also teaches participants better nutritional awareness, recovery habits and encourages an ongoing pursuit of education.
Our hockey training isn’t for the faint of heart
We’re about a lot more than CrossFit training.
With our hockey training, we’re all about pushing our athletes to the limit. The training is designed to elevate hockey players to an elite level of fitness that gets them ready to perform well in training camp and throughout the season. This is one area of our gym where participants will be placed under pressure to perform, because that’s what it takes to succeed in Canada’s cut-throat Junior Hockey league.
Only serious athletes aspiring to make a career out of hockey need apply. Participants will have to demonstrate competency with our staff before acceptance is granted to the training, and only those aged 14+ are considered.
