Dan’s Den: Try harder.
You’re in the middle of a row.. or burpees.. or finishing a pull up with your chin-over-the-bar.. or doing push ups, ring dip, handstand push up… or holding position in a deadlift.. or trying to get your elbows up in a front squat, or clean…. or punch in a snatch… the mental energy allocated towards these movements… or you’re at a party and there are baked goods to eat… or you are saying yes to another late night show that takes away from sleep… or you choose the quick options for fried or crappy food vs a healthy options… or you skip a workout because it’s dark and cold out… There are things to do around the house, buutt “I don’t wanna”…or you have another drink even though you are working so hard in the gym to get a better body… or you have an extra 10 min after a workout to do some extra something, but you leave, or you don’t wanna… or you could show up to Streets more often, but you just don’t… or could eat more vegetables… or drink more water… or eat more protein… or you were going to say HI to a new person, but you didn’t… or you whatever… Can you try harder ? At multiple aspects in life. Can you try harder? Be honest with yourself. Ask yourself that question every day. Challenge yourself to take on more hard work. Challenge yourself to accept and cherish adversity because if and when success with adversity you come out on the other side a better version of yourself.. Challenge your threshold. You probably can work harder. Honestly, you, we are probably not optimizing our ability to be the hardest working self in every scenario that presents itself in life. Use every day as a chance to improve your ability to work harder… You can work harder. You CAN accomplish more. Do more. Talk less about the task and ACT more. Work harder.
Love you guys!
